Apparently, Joe Biden would have done better had he been able to plagiarize his debate responses the same way he did his speeches.
During the Vice Presidential debate, he managed to flub all sorts of things, including the duties and role of the Vice President, for which he chastised Sarah Palin. Problem was, she got it right and he got it wrong. He got lots of other things wrong, too--and you can see a list here. (And this is the guy whose supposed to bring experience and wisdom to the Obama campaign?...) Don't look for a list of these errors in most other news venues, though; somehow, they forgot to mention them...

ReplyDeleteAnd somehow, the Fox News site that you provided for the source of this story manages to mention some of the facts that Palin got wrong but at the same time add that the fact-checking sites don't mention other things related to those facts. Hello? Their job is reporting on the things she got wrong, not adding mitigating circumstances.
Both Politifact.com and Factcheck.org are neutral sites that have been checking both sides, unlike, say, Fox News.
And if I see one more negative item about "the media" not covering this or that, I'm going to scream! Even the more left-wing media sites that I read have covered Biden's gaffes, so claiming that "the media" is giving him a free ride is ridiculous.
Take a look at Factcheck.org's coverage of the VP debate;they don't mention the majority of Biden's major errors that are covered in this article (including his lack of understanding of the role of the VP). I went to their site to check out their coverage prior to posting the article, and was amazed and how biased their language is in their reporting... most definitely not a neutral site.
ReplyDeleteAnd the coverage on CNN, the New York Times, and the Washington Times the day after the debate failed to mention any of these major Biden mistakes. They did, however, report that Biden had corrected Palin regarding the role of the VP... they just failed to report that he was absolutely wrong in his correction and she was absolutely right.
